The Java Sparrow Society UK (JSSUK) website is designed to promote the society, the breeding and the development of the Java and Timor Sparrows in the UK and other areas of the world. The JSSUK also aims to protect the interest of breeders and exhibitors and to assist the progress of scientific knowledge of the two species featured on this website.

It will also inform members of our goals along with the latest news and ideas available, it is hoped that you will be part of this exciting new venture and join the ever increasing group of Java and Timor Sparrows enthusiasts.

The JSSUK differs slightly to most avicultural websites as, to our knowledge, we are the first society to offer Internet membership alongside traditional postal membership. This, we believe, paves the way for our fellow Java/Timor Sparrow enthusiasts around the globe to join us and share their own experiences of these wonderful birds with others.

As a postal member you will receive four newsletters per year, issued in Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. These newletters are packed with Java Sparrow related articles and general information about the JSSUK.

As an Internet member (possibly you, as you are reading this via the World Wide Web) you will receive an email that will present you with a password to download our newsletters direct from this website that you can save to your computer to read at your leisure.
