Please note due to spiraling cost in both postage and rosettes from 2015 patronage will be charged at £8.00 per application

As of this year 2015  we are offering 3 levels of Patronage on a trial basis plus Open Shows and the National Bird Show of the Year at Stafford. The three levels that Society's can apply for are as follows;

Gold Patronage

This will be our top award and will be 18 Rosettes. Rosettes will be offered for both Adult and Current Year birds in the approprite mutations. There will also be Rosettes for Best in Show; Best Adult in Show and Best Current Year.To qualify for this Patronage,the participating Society would expect in excess of 40 Javas.

Awards are as follows:

Best in Show,         Best Adult,       Best Current Year.

Best Normal Adult,                           Best Normal Current Year

Best Fawn Adult,                               Best Fawn Current Year

Best Silver Adult,                               Best Silver Current Year

Best White Adult,                               Best White Current Year

Best Pied Adult,                                 Best Pied Current Year

Best Any Other Colour Adult,           Best Any Other Colour Current Year

Best Pair Adult                                   Best Pair Current Year

Best Junior.

 

Silver Patronage.

. This Patronage will be for 11 Rosettes and is basically the same as the Gold Patronage except that Rosettes are only awarded for best of Colour. and not for Adult and Current Year.Adult and Current Year birds will be judged against each other for Best of Colour.To qualify for this Patronage, the participating Society would expect 20 Javas.

Awards are as follows;

Best in Show;    Best Adult;    Best Current Year.

Best Normal;     Best Fawn;   Best Silver;

Best White;        Best Pied;     Best Any Other Colour;

Best Pair;           Best Junior.

 

 

Bronze Patronage.

This Patronage is only for 4 Rosettes and is basically for Small shows where only a few Javas are expected.

Awards are as follows;

Best in Show;   Best Adult;   Best Current Year;  

 

Because this is the first year of this new Patronage, the above numbers are flexible and at the participating societies discretion. The J.S.S.U.K. will then award for 2013 as per the Patronage Retun Sheet that we ask you to fill in and return to us a.s.a.p. after your show.

 

 

Open Show.

This Patronage is awarded by the Committee of the J.S.S.U.K. to any Society that wishes to apply. It is the intention of the Society to try and move this Show around the country as much as possible.We used to hold it at the F.B.L. show in St. Neots for a good few years,but decided 2 years ago to have a different venue each year.The 2010 show was held at Runcorn C.B.S. and this year we travelled to Taunton C.B.S. We are grateful to these Societies for accomodating us.This year, due to a mix up, we are holding 2 Open Shows at Denbigh C.B.S.and Gainsborough C.B.S. who are celebrating their Centenary. Again, out thanks to these Societies for accomodating us.

Open Show.

The Open Show awards are an upgrade of the Gold Patronage as Rosettes are awarded for Best of Colour, Adult and current Year. A total of 25 Rosettes are awarded at this Show.

National Bird Show of the Year.

This is our biggest Show which is held at Stafford. We usually have in excess of 150 birds at this event and is well worth a visit for a look,chat on the stand and best of all, enter some birds. There are 37 Rosettes at this Show and this is the only show where all mutations have a class.

Please note; All birds entered for current year classes must be wearing a closed ring for the current year. Any bird not doing so will not be eligable for awards.
CYOB without rings must be shown within the adult classes
